Completed: Tamiya Fiat 500F

It's done! Lots of fun to build, almost unbearably cute finished, but quite a challenge being so tiny! Next, I'm going to build something bigger (which is good, because it would be difficult to find something smaller. Maybe one of those Tamiya scooters.... :rolleyes:

We're finally having decent weather here, so I went out for some outdoor shots. The stonework is one of those Tamiya background sheets, and the warm Italian sunshine is simulated with our local variety.

It must have been a hassle polishing the rear vents. How did you go about that?

kaho- I rubbed them sideways with Tamiya compound, and then gave them a wash.

- Don't have an Abarth! :frown: But I hear rumors that Tamiya may rerelease it soon.... On the other hand, if I do another 500 anytime soon, I may try to find one of these (http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZG-381).

You will find stock of more 500's from Tamiya. The Abarth's are out OOP for now in the Tamiya range but they have Gunze ones. I know from experience that they are OK kits to build. Just no engines! Try one anyway. The completed project looks good though. ( You can see one of my projects elsewhere here)
