About 2 months ago I changed my front brakes, no problem. Last night I change my rear brakes. The pads were totally gone and had been for a while I was just too lazy to change them. Well I put the pads on and everything goes fine. Put the wheels back on. I take it for a ride this morning and it feels like the parking brake is on. The rear brakes are riding the rotors. Feels like I am towing a heavy trailer. Smoke coming out from both rears wheels REALLY bad. What could be wrong? I saw nothing wrong with the calipers when I changed out the brakes. Someone suggested that my master cylinder might have gone bad? Anyone have a clue or have had this happen?

Sure do. Replace the rear calipers. They are single piston lightweight junk so when you pushed the pistons back in then step on the brakes they cock or jam in the bore. So far on 4 Blazers after 80k I've had to replace all of them. Fronts are duel piston heavy cast that can take the heat. Happens on all the rear disc 2nd gen Blazers.

You might want to try and remove the rear calipers and rebuild them. It may free them up, but I would agree wtih muddog that that is the problem.

Ditto on the sticking calipers. My front passenger caliper and back two calipers were sticking, I replaced all four calipers last month.

BTW: Did you remove, clean, and lube the slides?

As said calipers. But to test and make sure. If the wheel is draging just open brake bleeder. If it still drags it is the caliper or mounting pins binding.
