Paint Job update - the battle continues

Well after 4 weeks of patient waiting, the car is finally painted and i was told that the detail man had already finished with the water sanding and polishing.
I was curious and anxious to see how wonderful the car would look so i went for a visit to the body shop to sneak a peak.
Much to my surprize my smiling face quickly turned to red with a big frown (gritting teeth). I have never seen such a F'ed up mess by a "professional" painter. There were runs, sags, and trash everywhere. I know that occasionally, anyone can have a sag in the clear, but anyone with a brain would know that when that starts to happen they need to do something different to minimise it. While this was really disappointing and aggrivating to see, i realize that all of that can be sanded out and polished and there wouldn't be any real problem after that. Just cant figure out why the hell the person that was doing all of the sanding & detail didn't remove all of those runs and imperfections while he was there doing it. I guess just another example of no pride in workmanship. What is really puzzling though, that after all of the hype over this car being refinished and all of the steps that were supposed to be done - did he really think this would fly??? Or is he just trying to piss off a customer and cost his boss more money?? - But what really chapped my ass was the fact that after putting it in writing, & verbally telling the owner & everyone that was working on the car (repeatedly) and meeting with the paint rep, they still did not paint the door jams as specified. Instead , there is a huge, unprofessional looking tape seam in the outter most recess with a lot of cloudy over spray and other clear runs dribbling down inside the jamb and onto the latch post and tension wedges, and vent grille. I can't grasp what part of "paint the door jambs" - "no tape seams" was hard to follow . I even literally showed them (on more than one occasion) exactly where the paint was to stop to make sure there were no tape marks.
Also i noticed that below the gas filler door and just above the wheel well flare there is a "pop" in the paint about the size of a pin head and the primer is showing thru.

Looks like they will be stripping & repainting the entire rear of the car again since there is no break in the body panels anywhere. Why cant people just follow instructions and do their job right the first time??? what is wrong with folks these days? its getting worse as time goes on to get anyone to do their jobs and if you can get someone to do something it is half assed and turns out to be a big mess.

i have done everything in my power to try to work with these people to get it right and stay out of court with this, but it is looking more and more like "they" are not going to let me. I really dont have time to fool with all of this but it has become a matter of principle now.

Im going back this morning when they open and do some more looking and see what they have to say about all of this.
It will be interesting at minimum and possibly explosive depending on what their attitude is toward the situation

You forgot the BIG part. What company is painting your car? Maaco?

Well........I went for another visit this morning (It went smoothly no fireworks as of yet, but its coming.) and took an extra person with me for a second opinion and another set of eyes just incase i was missing anything........And wow, did I see much more!
This time the car was inside under flourescent lighting (before it was outside in sunlight) and it really told the story of a half assed paint and detail job.

We found even more runs & sags, a huge d/a sander gouge on the rear bumper fascia , along with a bunch more trash divets on the hood, mirrors, and spoiler. There is a spot on the hood where the guy that was detailing and watersanding either broke thru the clear coat and shadowed the pearl in the paint or just forgot to buff out completely. it had a ghost ring effect exactly like breaking thru on metallic paint.
I told them that whoever painted the car was surely NO PAINTER (and he was supposedly "the best" the paint co had to offer) and it looked as if he used a roller to paint with instead of a gun. I also told them that if he was their best i didn't even want to meet their worst (i cant imagine)
As for the detail man that was hired to wet sand and buff he must have been blind as a bat & had absolutely no feeling left in his hands. How the heck can you miss a run on the back bumper that was almost 19 inches long and another on the rocker panel that was over 3 feet long?

At this point nobody is wanting to take responsibility and every one is pointing the finger at someone else. Just a BIG F'ed up MESS!

As for naming the company - for now, i wont say who until after i speak with my attorney - i dont want to chance messing up my case if it goes to court & it is inching closer to it by the minute.
However , I will say that it is NOT Maaco
