Should the reflectors located on the doors of my 2000 regal ls light up when the doors are open ? Are there bulbs located behind these reflectors. Cause if so I have alot of bulbs to replace.

Are you referring to the red/white reflectors? I believe it depends on your year model as to whether they light up when the door is opened. For example on my '99 LS they do illuminate when the door is opened. However, I believe GM made these not functional in subsequent model years. You could remove the door panel and take a look behind.

Yes you are correct. I am talking about such reflectors, that when you open the doors, they should light up. Although you mentioned that on your 99 LS, they are red/white. Whereas mine are just red, and I guess they do not light up when the doors are open. I wonder why GM would choose not continue using this feature in certain year models. Its in my opinion a safety issue.

Sounds like you have just a reflector. I really don't know why GM did that. It doesn't make sense. It is a nice feature.
