1992 Toyota 4x4 V6 wont' start, need help.

I have a 92 4x4 extened cab pickup with a 3.0 V6. I let the truck situp for about year. The battery was gone so I replaced it. The engine will turn and turn, but it won't fire. I tried spraying carb cleaner in the intake. After doing this the truck will almost fire for a second, but then just continues to turn. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail ?
Do you have spark ?

I think I have a spark since the engine did attempt to start after I sprayed carb cleaner in the intake. I am in the process of replacing all of my plugs and wires just in case. I'm also replacing the fuel filter. How can I check to see if I'm getting any fuel pressure? I plan to syphon any gas in the tank out and replacing it with fresh fuel. Also, how can I check to see if I'm getting a spark?

Always pull the ECU (EFI computer) codes & if no codes are stored then compare voltages & resistances at each ECU pin/wire then compare with FSM (factory service manual),see below for complete details.All of the links have been checked recently for validity,if not happy with my detailed info then I suggest you pay mechanic $60+/hr that's if they are honest and know what the are doing.

About half of the ECU codes stored on the first & second generation EFI Toyotas don't show a constant blinking check engine light therefore you must pull the ECU codes to see if a fault is registered.

Pulling the ECU codes is the first thing I do to diagnosis a problem thereafter I reset the ECU to see if the same problems show up and if so I then take voltage measurements both with the engine running and not and compare with the factory service manual,I also close the ignition switch after a cold engine and also after a warm engine and compare them with the factory service manual.This technique will completely isolate your problem without having to do trial and error and it is the technique I use when repairing tv's,vcr's,home/car audio.
