$500 for headers install???

I just called a local shop, and they quoted me at $500 for install of LT's Y-pipe and cats. Am i getting ripped off??? They claim there there really good. Is that the usuall price for a LT install?? AND, can i use the stock cats or do i hafta buy new ones.

500 bucks sounds too much for me. 200 or 300 bucks would be plenty l guess..

l just suggest you to use those little mexicans or other foreign street mechanics to do it instead of those people. they do the same jobs for much much cheaper. aand they do the same job or better. the are just not cerfitied. IMO.

As a Mexican, I'd have to agree. Even though they may not be certified, they've probably been doing it since the age of 12. At least get a quote that you can take to the original shop and bargain. Brown power!
