A Quick Question

Is clear bumper lights and clear turning signal legal? Because in colorado there is a lot of people doing this.:confused:

When a PA state trooper was givin me a ticket for neons I had a little discussion with him about what is and is not legal. "All clear tails are illegal, because if a light burns out there is nothing red there, and half the time they look orange anyways." -Trooper

Apparently anything with a built-in red reflector is legal, I would GUESS that the clear corners for the front end are illeagal for the same reason. That is Pennsylvania law though, we are pretty strict from what I hear.

Most people around here are runnin' clear corners with the amber bulbs in there. I haven't heard of any problems with that so far.

clears in the front of a car are fine, but in the back they must be colored.

Ok, here it is ... clears in the back are illegal, not due to the fact of a bulb burning out, but because white refelctors are not DOT legal, thus you need something with a red reflector, and you can have any other light on your car as clear as you want it to be, as long as the light being emitted isnt SUPER blue, or SUPER red, since those two colors are illegal also, excluding brake lamps. I think that trooper you talked to was just talking out his ass, like they usually do.

define glowing, it has pretty much the same principle, as long as its not red or hella blue, your fine

every single light on my car cept the headlights are red. front/rear turn signals, reverse lamps,and brakes(duh) and i haven't has a problem yet. but if i ever get pulled over for having my rear blinkers red i'm goin ask the cop if he pulles over every caviler,sunfire,boniville,and silverado he sees cause they all have red turn signals

I have a friend whose a cop. He said they don't give a shit about front corners being clear. They are just very anal about the tail lamps. I was going to my car in a parking lot once and a cop came over to talk about my clear tails. I just had to turn the key and prove that I had red bulbs , then he left. No ticket or anything. Thats in Cali at least.

Well I am bout to buy some clear bumpers and clear turning signals. I AM NOT BUYING CLEAR-TAIL-LIGHTS!! How much does the clear bumper lights and clear turning signals cost? Also can u give me some websites?

you can try ebay is the cheapest site to buy car shit, or try www.nopi.com for ur camry, the corners should run around 35-50, and the bumpers 10-25.

Thanks will it be better to buy different bulbs? How much does the white(clear) bulbs cost?
