Which one should I do?

There are 2 things I want to do to my truck. It's a 97 Sierra, standard cab, short bed, fleetside and I wanted to get your opinons on it. Either I want to lower my truck or put bumper to bumper ground effect running boards. I like how both look, just seeing what you would rather do, and reason for each if u would? Also could I put those running boards on and lower it to?

you basically have to figure out what is more important to you, the running boards are functional yet have looks, lowering looks good but you loose practicality and if you don't have rims and tires to match the lowered stance it will look terrible. it this is a daily driver you will loose some ride qualities, you will always be doing alignments and bumps will be more noticeable. ... by the way if you are looking to do the g/e route, i happen to have a set of 4 running boards/groundeffects for your truck if interested.
