Has anybody ever seen a fitting or mount that could be use on a bumper to make it easier to remove? I'd be nice to just pull a clip on each side of the bumper and be able to remove it, but I've never seen anything like it for sale.

Sounds like theyd be too weak for safe use...bumper would break right off at 100 lol.

Well, I'm looking for something pretty heavy duty. Something that has to thick steel parts that latch together (one for each side) so that when I do take my bumper off I don't have to deal with screws and plastic mounts stripping out and stuff.

I'd probably end up fiberglassing one half of the mount to the bumper and then bolting the other half to the car. The reason why I want to do this is because to get an alignment done on my car I have to remove the front bumper - guess it interfeirs (sp) with alignment machine, so it'd be nice to be able remove it a little easier than what I have to do now.

Summit has these:

They are part number SUM-G1621. These are used to keep race car bodies together and there are several different applications available. The head is about the size of a nickel and you use a screwdriver or a quarter to pop them off of a T (not shown) that is attached to the car. Do a search search for "quick release fasteners" at www.summitracing.com and you should be able to find what you need.

Ah well, no need for me to have those...Bumper is only held on by like 5 screws anyway...the big ones and then one on each side...

My bumper fits pretty tight, so right now I've only got the two screws on each side in the fender wells. So a nice quick release system there would be awesome.

well i got some dx bumpers i wanna throw on,, and the center supports on front n back are rusted..so im curious if u guys ever mounted bumper without the rebar? they weight like 2 pds without the bars so i couldnt imagine them sagging bad with a ok mounting job.. good or bad idea? and i got mint clips and all the screws for the sides..it would be a nice tight mount but then nothing in the middle..
