Repair costs

Help!
I bought a used 528 Wagon from the dealer a bit less than four years ago. It had 33K on the odo then. Now it's at about 63K.
Things are going wrong and repairs from the dealer (San Francisco) cost a fortune. I was quoted $800 for a headlight cover, and $650 to make door-activated interior light operate again. Latch on luggage cover (remember, it's a wagon) jammed and dealer wouldn't repair it unless I agreed that they would not be responsible if they broke it (replacement cost, approximately $500). My wife fixed it with a butter knife.
I feel that I'm being robbed. Suggestions are welcome.
