I just installed a American Thunder 80 Series 3 in Cat back exhaust system on my 90 Iroc and I gotta say I'm not at all impressed. They say that this system is supposed to be the most aggressive sounding system they have, I'm not hearing it. If anything it has gotten a little quieter than before. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have it mine and love it, it's realtively quiet at idle and speaks up when the pedal is punched only draw I don't like is my TES headers keep getting loose, but some header locks are on the wish list ot end that bs

i was thinking about getting the same thing. Is it just too quiet?

I had high expectation but it was a let down. It does have a deeper tone to it, but you can barely notice it. Not sure what happened.

The y pipe is 2.5 and the Flowmaster exhaust is 3 in.

Give it some time, it would need to be broken in some.

Your not going to get result just over night. You will need to wait. Like all exhaust.

in the begining of this video you can here my car which has tes headers a flowmaster exaust and no cat...so i guess thats a pretty good example of what yours should sound like but louder since you have a 350

sounds like a tractor, and there was more music than exhaust.
They are pretty loud even on a stock exhaust, dont know what is wrong with yours.
I also the breaking in time sounds like bias to me. What are you waiting til it plugs with carbon?

gut your cats. And isnt the 80's series the quieter one? I though 40 series was the loud one. All I know is I loved the sound of my old 305 motor through the flowmaster. It was loud and mean. Kinda covered up the fact that it was slow as poo. I dont care what anyone says about flowmaster.
