Help with subs and amp..

Alright guys im all new to this sound systems and this forum...well i thinking about spending $500 maybe 600 on subs and amps...what would you guys recommend me??

What kind of music do you listen to? how much room do have for a box?

10" subs are good compromise - unless you like extreme level of bass
