how i loved mine....i had a crx as my first car then i had a kid....anyway let me give you a little insight on what i should have done...make sure you reall yhave your heart set on a crx...then you need to decide how much mony you would like to spend....then figure out what you want to do first:engine,stereo.looks..if it is your daily driver don't start projects you don't have time to finish..there is so many mod you can do with this car you have a ton of options.just get them on paper first.but may i recommend a turbo b20.just my prefference.good luck

If you really wanna do up a crx, better have some money saved up, nothin like having a dream, buying the car, and then realizing you dont have anywhere near the amount of money its going to take to make your dream come true. I have been working on my crx for about 5 years, and its just now coming along to being CLOSE to where I want to be. First thing you will have to realize if you want to hook up a crx is, the last year they made them was 1991, so BEST case scenario your looking at a 15 year old car, after 15 years and who knows what alot of stuff needs to be replaced. First thing you want to think about is what engine you want to put in it, because there is a good chance the stock engine is bout to go on it, unless it has less than 125,000 miles on it. I have seen some on e bay that have low miles but your going to pay out the whazoo for those cars bcause they are very sought after. Before ya go doing stereo stuff, body kits, and tailights etc on it, makes ure it runs good and starts up. As far as engines go, depends on your budget, you can replace the engine with the same engine that came in it... for bout 1500 total, but you will have the same HP... and considering the SI crx barely has a little over 100 hp in it... your not gonna be going anywhere fast. I did the DOHC ZC swap into mine... because it was a direct bolt in, you can use your same transmission and motor mounts etc... BUT... there WILL BE alot of things wrong with the DOHC ZC and any other crate ngine you get. The company that you buy the motor from, ONLY WARRANTIES THE MOTOR ITSELF, NONE of the accessories IE starter alternator etc, alot of little things are broken on the engine from what they call "shipping damage". Also if you dont know a ton about engines etc DONT TRY AND DO IT YOURSELF! If you would like to know more shoot me an IM ;)
