I am turning my 2002 SE into a GTP... Ya I know a lot of people think it's cute and funny but hey when a SE beats your GTP or GT it really makes you wonder :P
Anyways lol, I got a question with the engine crate. I have the 3.1 engine and I'm wondering if I can use my same engine crate to mount the 3.8 engine?

Is there anything that I will have to replace that is different?

The wiring harness, PCM, transaxle, air intake system, fuel pump and engine/transmission mounts are just a few. Unless you have a complete donor car available, this swap will nickel and dime you to death. It would be easier to put your SE badges and steel wheels with hub caps on a GTP and pretend it's an SE.

I'd like to put a 25 year old body and attitude in my girlfriend too, but I don't think it's going to work.

This is going to cost you a lot of money just to "fool" people. It doesn't seem logical to me, but it's your car and your money! This car must have a huge sentimental value behind it....

SO ITS STUPID TO REPLACE BADGING,
BUT ITS SMART TO REPLACE THE FOLLOWING:
engine, tranny, wiring harness, PCM, air intake system, fuel pump and engine/transmission mounts, and who knows what else?!?!?!?
go ahead, knock yourself out...

I decieded not to do this becuase my SE won't be an SE anymore and I realize this. So instead I'm going to do as many custome mods to this car that it willl basiclly be the SE engine but with lots of mods... anyone know of a supercharger kit that might fit my car...

yeah i wouldnt do all that either, with all the money it would cost to transform an se to a gtp you might as well just buy a used gtp, im sure in the end it would cost nearly as much? at least it sounds nearly that expensive...

The insurance would be a lot higher on the GTP vs. the SE but all that would be lost in the upgrade.
