if you take a heat gun and get the plastic hot and push it back you can eliminate the rubbing without cutting the plastic. you should raise the front or lower the back to level the truck out. nice looking ride looks similar to mine. :bananasmi

i did a 2 inch shackle drop in the back. i dont remember the exact price but i go tthem on ebay and i think it was about 50-70 bucks and a hour to install because i had to remove my hitch to get to the bolts. then reinstall the hitch and i did the job myself, i would recomend having help to help hold things.

Welcome to the boards. Nice truck.
I'm confused though. If you planned on bagging it, why would you get a 4wd? You're going to be severely limited in how low it will go due to the front driveshaft binding. If you were hoping to lay frame it's not gonna happen.
Good luck with your project.

I had no intentions on laying the frame, just wanted the option of adjusting my suspension and the roads here in michigan are not the greatest, so maybe i would get a better ride. The reason for the 4wd is i picked the truck up from a dealership for a very good price, under 10 grand with 35k miles. Salesman messed up on the paperwork. Gotta love it. I ordered the shackles off ebay last night so i should get those soon and see how it goes from there. Thanks again guys.

i have a 2wd and i did a 2inch shackle drop in rear only and i have 22 inch wheels and 305-45-22 tires. next tires will be 305-40-22 to get a little more clearence for turning, it has minimal rubbing when turning the wheel hard like in a parking lot.

I had the 40 series tires on these rims at first but the ride was terrible. Just a tip to ya sportin83. Went to the 45 series and made a huge change.

ya i thought about the ride. i might be getting rid of them and getting some ss 20's. i would like a little less flashy look. ive got the wheels for sale a my buddys shop asking 1700 obo and the tires about gone. i will need new tires on them or sell those and buy new wheels and tires. and i cant afford tires for now so they will sit there in his shop till they sell or i have money.
