no more hooking up

i had a 94 civic i dunno if anyone in here has seen it but it had everything,but i just bought a 02 civic and my parents wont let me do anything to it,i am sneaking a few things here and there but i just cant beat the addiction of hooking my car up.it suks that they already got pissed off about hyperwhites..i think im gunna go insane. should i do it anyways regardless of what they say?

Once you get the item and put it into your car they can't say anything really cuz u already put it on, and you can return it.
My parents didn't let me get a motorcycle but when I got it they didn't say anything cuz I already bought it.
They'll get tired of telling you not to do it, so eventually it will stop. Hehe.

i wish, they never stop dad doesnt care but i had the 94 for 2 years and i heard it everyday... thing is im going to college in 2 months and mom doesnt want me drawing the attention i got with the civic....i on the other hand dont care....

Why r they harrassing you, whos paying for it? I pay for my car and they know they cant tell me anything. On the other hand, if they're paying for it, then theres not much you can say. You should be thankful for a free car. I wish I had that cuz working all through school sucks!

well the first civic was 6k i paid that and about 6k more for all the mods this one is 14k$ and my rents spotted me the 6k for the down payment but im paying them back as soon as i sell my car next week..so im paying for it but i guess i should lay low till i sell my other car and its all mine. i wish i got a free car my friend got a 2003 SI for graduation...luckily i saved up enough money to pay the payments for a year so i dont have to work during school

:eek: All I got for graduation was a solid kick in the ass. lol. Nah I'm joking, my mom spotted my downer but it was only a grand and with shitty credit look what I had to get!!!

Wanna know a tip to turning your parents over? Whenever they tell you not to mod your car, tell them okay I won't mod it. Then buy like 5 autotraders, and constantly bug them about buying you a faster nicer car. I did that for two weeks and needless to say, my mom backed off and not only allowed me to mod my Corolla, she encouraged it.

"Mom check out this 1998 Integra Type R with a turbo kit... $27,000.00... Wanna help me get it? I won't mod it...."
"So why don't you get an intake for your car this weekend? I'll pay for the shipping"

haah i cant make it fast shed have a heart attack she wont ride with me anymore because its a 5spd...but once i leave for college she wont notice that im not only modding my car but with her money:)

I remember you, RicerGurl. You're 5th gen was very nice! I liked the color and the kit. I just remember the pic I saw with you sitting down next to your car... can't say that the car was the ONLY thing nice in the pic. ;)

As for your situation... it's the same as when I first got my car. I started sneaking in parts that my parents couldn't really notice. They never peak in the engine bay so in went a CAI and strut tower bar right away. Put in some sport springs... the car lowered, but my parents never noticed. I also put projector headlights and sidemarkers on and they didn't notice that either... they probably think they come that way... or as an option. I dunno.

After a while... I started putting bigger things on the car. Exhaust system (2 seperate times), leather Integra seats, new sound system, blue lights everywhere. They were mad that I was "wasting" my money at first... but then they kinda let me go with it. After all, it IS my money. They do try and keep me in check once in a while though... which is good. They just make sure that I don't spend ALL my money and keep some saved... because I will surely need it one day.
