alternators?

Okay in my little v6 i have a decent size system on what i believe is the stock alternator. Its two kickers running off a 1ohm 1100 memphis d amp. Now my best friends dad gave me the idea that the whining in the front of my car was the alternator and not the belt, so i turned off the power to the amp and after awhile most of the noise from the front nearly diminished, which im guessing that means its the bearing in the alternator going.. So my question is what kinda of alternator should i buy if i want to power such a powerful amp and not have to worry about killing it? Do they make specific alternators for car audio, if so where can i get them?

get a capasiter for your system. If that does not shut it up, then just get a higher out put alt.

I have a one farad cap by lightning audio still does it.. so i guess i'll just look for a strong alt =/ crappy.

ya, and i would get it soon befor the whole thing goes out and you are stranded, or don't run the system till you get the new one.
