Autoride Shocks

Anyone know if any companies makes aftermarket shocks for the Autoride system? I just found out a replacement rear shock is almost 400$. I might just replace all four with standard shocks, it would be cheaper. I noticed Monroe makes a replacement but it's almost as expensive.
Thanks.

I have never seen an aftermarket factory replacement shock, and yes the factory shocks are going to cost you an arm and a leg each. I would not use monroe as a replacement, I have had a lot of bad luck with them. I would recommend KYB shocks especially the Monomax.

Thanks. I might just stick with what I got. I tow 5800 lbs pretty often and it's nice to have the truck ride level all the time. We'll see.

Just an FYI shock mounts are not designed to hold extra weight. If you are using your air shocks as an overload you will brake either the shock or the mounts. To do it right you need to add load control air bags.

Well I never overload the truck itself, and it is rated to tow 7500, so I am pretty sure it's ok. I also installed front and rear sway bars, REAL truck tires load "D" and my trailer has a sway control system.I never have any trouble towing except I can use a tad more power up long grades. I have a K & N intake system and a Gibson dual exhaust. Lokking into maybe headers and a proogramer this summer.
