95 accord backfiring..

what would make a 95 accord backfire and cut out? so far we changed the fuel filter,fuel pump and did a tune up , had the catalict converter checked also,,but it is still running horrible, but once i slam on the gas it will do fine.. for a while.:crying:

Check the igntion timing. Also check to make sure the wires are in the right firing order.
