Control Arms

Hey guys, after installing my motor mounts I found that my control arm on the drivers side is FUBAR. My car was made Dec. 1999, and I guess it is different than later model years, and I have not been able to locate a stock or aftermarket control arm for my car anywhere. Just curious if you guys knew anyplace that sold them. Also, Do our cars have an Upper control arm? Any help with be much appriciated.

Well I finally ended up just going to the dealer because every shop I went to said it would be impossible to get it otherwise. Actually not too bad on the price (160 a side, and other years online were around 140 so not too bad since it was at a dealer). Hopefully it goes in with little trouble.

good luck on the install, control arms are difficult, cuz you can't tell if they are any good unless they are new.

didn't look to hard from when i took it all apart though, maybe a breaker bar and basic ratchets will do it, and then an alignment after you are done

yeah, they are new OEM so they had damn well better be good. Install didnt look too bad either, except getting the ball joint in and out...ill post after i get it done to let anyone else know how bad it was and any tips.

I just wanted to say that I got my control arms put in no problem. I did it by myself and with an Impact wrench and a floor jack I was able to do it easy in about an hour and a half. So, if you need new control arms, DIY because its cake. Even if you dont have pneumatic tools you could do it with a littl muscle.
