my club had a dyno day yesterday... $50 for 4 pulls with wideband, so i said why not.
Mods are in sig, and car has 173xxx miles... just crossed 173500 today.

179.75 RWHP, 204.52 RWTQ... not bad. Stock engine is 200 hp and stock cars normally dyno around 160... assuming the same 20% drivetrain loss that means my car is somewhere around 225 HP and 256 TQ at the crank... not too shabby :grinyes:

under your hood tho, i see you have no heat shield thing there, i would put on back on because if you drive long enough it will fad out your paint on the hood. I know some kid that did not have one one and it messed up his paint on his hood.

I doubt that.... do you know how hot the sun gets? Fiberglass hoods come with none of that... I think its more of a sound deadener

on my firends his was on a 90 rs camaro and it happended in the summer the engine would get hot and it was hot outside and he took that thing off because it was hitting the air cleaner or something and it made his hood look all oxidised.

Well first off that is a shop called TTP, they're an LS1tech sponsor and well known for their LS1 heads/cam packages... hence the other cars in the lot.
Second, as i said in my first post :D it was my club's dyno day.
John you shoulda gone. Whoop some LS1s on the rollers.
As for the underhodo insulation, its purpose is twofold: sound deadener and a fire blanket. Unfortunately while it may block a fire for maybe 30 sec - 1 min, it simply CATCHES fire after that... so, i said why have it, and took it off. It's been in my basement for at least a year.
