bumpers?

Does a 90-91 front bumper fit onto a civic that has the 87-90 bumper?
just coz i really prefer the 90-91 bumper and i want to put it on my car!!
can someone with experience tell me?
if it doesnt fit directly, can it be easily modified to fit?

Judging by the engine in your car I assume it isn't in America, but 88-91 was the years of the 4G Civic, and 88-89 is the sort of big mouth one, and the 90-91 was the trapezoidal looking one. But they aren't swappable, the places they bolt up to are different.

Is there some measurements I can take to tell if I have a 90-91 front end or 87-89 front end? My car was kinda built out of 2 different civics, and I think they may have used a pre-90 front end to rebuild it.

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!! thats my car like a year and half ago.... god it sucked!!! that was back in my rice dayz. :bloated:

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself... I'm sure just about all of us have had some "rice dayz"... And your car doesn't look too bad.. I don't see any stickers at all, no erector-set spoiler, no Type R emblems...

yup.... I grabbed it off www.4thgenerationcivic.com... it was the closest to a front shot of a 90-91

Mine looks kinda rectangle, so I think it might be a 89 front end, but since I have no idea what a 90-91 front end looks like (from the view where I can see its trapazoidal shape) I guess I won't know.

Thats a 91? Im not seeing any difference between it and the 88 picture above...

Look at the side of the grille area. One is straight. other is diagonal on thesides. Also look at the blinkers one has smaller blinkers.

Okay, that BIGASS hole in the middle of the bumper. On the 88-89's, it's a square opening, on the 90-91's the sides of the opening are at angles...

Why didnt you guys say so.. I was looking at the shape of the entire front end, or the hood, or whatever, didnt think of looking just at the hole. :)

Well, mine has 2 rectangle holes.. I think I have the front end of an 89 and the ass end of a 91... Now I have to figure out what to get for it...

Can someone help, and answer my question??

i doubt it, the bumpers and shit will not line up for the holes that are drilled, you can re drill the holes if ya want.

and my 91 has a much different front bumper, sorry for the angle, but mine is like a rounded rectangle, with two side indent things.

does it matter if i own a civic?? Cuz i thought i could just get the bumper mounts off the 88-89 and when i put that on my car the holes would line up.
