Help! My radio car locked

I would like to know how to disable the anti-theft security of the car radio (model Lancia 840) fixed in Lancia Y 1,2 16S Elefantino Rosso. I have got its security code but I cannot key it in (the display reads 4 dashes). The car was bought second-hand and there was not any manual left in. Thank you for your help.:1zhelp:
