First off, Hello!
I picked up a 1990 Eclipse, 5 speed, 1.8 over summer to tinker and get great gas milage. Athough my previous car was a 1970 GTO, I much prefer the eclipse to any american car I have owned. I do my own work, and Installed Pioneer speekers, as well as a small subwoofer setup. This summer Im planning to lighten the car and maybe start building a new engine to drop in. Its all alot of fun, mostly for a cheep little car!
Now, I have a problem. My clutch went out (i think, the car shuddered once at a stoplight with the clutch in and creeped forward, as If I was feathering out the clutch. Made nasty sounds too.) so I picked up a cheep OEM kit to replace it. Ive been working on and off as time allows, following the manual. Other than the clutch Ill be replacing the from brakes while everything is all torn apart. The transmition is almost off, but I can not for the life of me remove the halfshafts from the differential. The manual says use a prybar, but the exploded drawing shows circlips. Also, if I have to pry it off, how will I get it back on?
Also, i have some less important questions. Once I seperate the ball joint form the lower control arm, do I have to replace it? Do the circlips on the halfshafts have to be replaced? My rotor is rusted onto the hub, and both boltholes are stripped, how do I get it off (I dont have a puller).

You've already started to do the job but did you try bleeding the clutch line? As for getting the cv shaft out, you need too pry bars one either side and pry, use sudden jerking motions (wow that sounds bad) It may take a while but thats really the only was. The rings that hold them on shouldn't have to be replaced check the too see if they're damaged. To get the rotors off take 2 large bolts and nuts and whers and put the bolt through the caliper bolt holes, thready it through the bolt with a washer on both side of the hole, As you tighten the bolt it will force it into the rotor do this the loosen it and turn the rotor, keep doing it, it will eventually come off.
