:: Little import car for me ::

I really liked the little import toons that RPS13 was doing, so I tried to emulate his style and drew a picture of my car... Doesn't look the same as his, but I like the style.

Thanks.
Actually, the real car went to the body shop today to have the hood, front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and door caps put on, and then get painted green, so the real car doesn't look like that yet. But as soon as I get it back, you can bet I'll be posting some pictures!
I'm gonna be without my "baby" for 2 weeks (possibly 3 weeks)... I'm already going nuts, and it's only been 8 hours! :bloated:

Actually, the paint and install is only gonna be two weeks (This ain't no Maaco paint job... $3000), and if I don't get it back by Sunday the 21st, I'm going to Seattle for a week to see my folks while my brother is in town, so it could be 3 weeks before I see my pride and joy again.
:(
I talked to the guy today though, and he said he might be able to get it done under 2 weeks. Keeping all my fingers/toes/other appendages crossed...

Okay, finally got the pics of the original, it's not completely done yet (they're still painting the wing, side mirrors, and door handles, but this gives you an idea).

It is perfect, and the body is STRAIGHT as hell. They've had the car for 3.5 weeks now, it better be perfect! I'm supposed to get it back tomorrow, so I'll have more pics. :D

Yeah, I used photoshop to draw the little cartoon car. Pretty much, all I used was the marquee tool and the air-brush tool.

Thanks! The hood is functional. I don't have the screens or the duct installed yet. It's not a ram-air hood, cuz it doesn't connect directly to the intake, but it's a cold-air induction hood. So basically it brings cold-air from the scoops and routes it to the front of the engine where the intake is.

Got the car back today, so I took some pics and posted them in a forum here. Here's the link to that thread. Beware though, there's 9 pics, and they're all just under 100K, so if you're on dial-up, it'll take a little while to download...

If you like that, check out these threads. There's a bunch of cartoony lookin' cars that RPS13 made. He's much better at it than me, I was just emulating his style (or trying to anyways):

does your civic actually have balls or is just looks for now?

It's got some power mods (intake, headers, exhaust, clutch, etc.) and some performance mods (front/rear strut braces, sway bars, lower-rear tie-bar, springs, Nitto NT-450's, etc), but when I get my D16Y8 engine paid off (I've got about $500 to go), it'll have more nuts. And shortly thereafter, I'll be throwing a turbo in the mix...
So, I'd like to think that it's a mixture of both, I want a nice looking car that's fast, so I'm dividing my attention between looks and power.

Thanks man.
Here's a few pics of the engine bay. They're pretty dated (in the pics, the car is still black, and those are my stock headlights). Haven't made any engine mods since then, but I did detail it, and it looks ALOT cleaner...
I found a D16Y8 engine with less than 8000 miles for $900. Should be swapped in by the end of summer, lots of it will be powder-coated yellow or polished at that point...

Nah, I don't actually have the engine yet, just making payments on it. It's sitting on a shelf at the local junk-yard...
Here's some pics of the same engine in someone elses car... Mine should look similar, but the valve-cover will be powder-coated bright yellow, and all the hoses, plug-wires, etc. will be yellow as well:
