When I put the decals on my Red Ferrari 512 TR I let them dry. They dried and the decal now has a milky white surrounding. It is located on the decal itself, where there was no color printed on them. How can I fix this?

You should have trimed the excess carrying film before soaking it in water. If the decal can't be removed from the body, obtain an aftermarket silk screen decal, such as virage, cartograf, Colorad Decal etc. Those look much nicer.

I just tried something new that I hope will work. First I trimmed some of the stuff from around the decal. But I noticed that you could still see some of it. Since the car is red, I thinned down some red testors bottle enamel, similar to the way that some people do the black trim, and I applied it to the decals. It flowed throughout the decal and colored the white portions red. It seemed to take care of the problem, and hopefully when it dries, there will no longer be any milky white film on the decal.
