Hello everyone.
This is probably going to make me sound like a bonehead but I swear it wasn't my fault.:grinyes: Well I was installing a Clifford car alarm in my 94 Achieva s 2.3L with no problems untill I started buttoning things up. Well under the dash there are 2 heavy red wires comming from the ignition switch that turn into 3 heavy red wires to the fuse box. Well they were just taped up where they split and when I tightened the metal plate under the dash; the red wires shorted to ground. Lots of sparks!!! Well after I changed my underware and tried to start the car I got nothing. No click from the starter. No dash lights. No heater fan or radio. But I have dome lights and the dinger when I put the key in the ignition. So my question is......Could I have fried a fusable link? Or the ignition switch? I checked all the fuses under the dash but none were bad. So now I'm stuck. Anyone have any ideas?
