2004 Malibu Maxx - Starting Problems!

Hello Everyone:
I need everyone who has any starting problems with 2004 Malibu Maxx to reply. I am researching this issue with my car. The dealer can only duplicate the problem 1 time. GM sent an Engineer down to fix my car, spent 3 hours + and the car still hangs up and will not start, generally will start after 5th try. If this happens to you and the car in under warranty call the dealer to send someone to you and have them witness the car will not start. Then have towed to dealer, you can ask for rental which is covered by warranty.
That was the 6th time in shop. Technicians have done pages of repair orders on my car and it is still not fix. GM needs to admit to a lemon.

If anyone else has similar problem please let me know.

Thanks,
Desi

We're talking about a similar issue in another thread - look down a bit in the list of Malibu tiopics. I've also followed this closely on other sites.

One major diff, though. The cars always start, eventually. Your problem seems unique in that regard. Mine has never failed to start, so far. And I've never heard of one that didn't, even if it was 15 secs. of cranking.

GM clearly has the least-confidence-inspiring vehicle starts, and has for years recently. Both my former '96 Monte Carlo and '98 Malibu had "tentative" starts, always. The Maxx is better, except for the occasional hard start (about once a month).
