Depends on the driving skills man. I saw a stock DX hatch beat a Civic Si. That's a 17 second car taking a mid to high 15 second car in a race.
Put a header on that ls motor, and if you drive right you might take him. Spec V's are purely drivers car's. You can't own a Spec V and just expect to run 15.5 like the magazines. I raced a Spec V and beat him by like 3 car's in my COROLLA... He peeled out like he was the supporting actor in Fast and the Furious 2. Engine was loud and the car was clean though. I'm sure if his driving skills were up to par he would give me an old fashioned ass whipping.

It's like putting a 15 yearold in a lambo and having him race a perfsessional lamse racer in a supped up civic. And the 15 year old has only been driving for a month. With those kinda of odd's or simmilar you can have the underdog win no dought.

Haha you guys make it seem like I'm talking about a driver being brain dead with drool out of his mouth. A person could drive stick shift for three years and still not win a race for multiple reasoning. You have to read the start, ride the clutch to get those #'s that the Spec V rates.
kidrocket's right, the Spec V is hype. It has amazing suspension though. But its straight line #'s could be better. If you put LSD on a GSR and bumped it's horsepower up 15 ponies and gave it a close ratio tranny. You could easily hit 14's.
