When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity.
To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300° C.
The Russians used a pencil.
Enjoy paying your taxes.
Panda say's it's sad but true!!!

"Land of the free and home of the brave" just sounded better when they left off "for a price".
Believe me, I'm trying to find another country to live in, so no "love it or leave it" comments...

I've seen these pens for sale in random places. Theyre always on glass displays that, of course, have been written all over.

12 Billion dollars?
thats 12,000,000,000 dollars,
I've heard this story, and it is true. But 12Bil is pushing it a bit, i can believe the americains would spend alot of money on a pen, but it would still be in the millions, defintly not the billions.
