1500 tire question

I have a 1500 slt,1999 5.2...I have new tires on it...I had the frount end alined after i had them put on..Now after two months the right frount tire is showing ware on it...Its like the tryangles on the tred is like scale like..One side is like there tilted down...So when you move your hand along the tire from right to left its like saw teeth bighting into your hand..all the tire weights are on still,its only that tire doing it??.I think i explaned it wright....Any ideas:banghead:

if you have a vibration you could have a bad belt in the tire. i have the same thing on my 1998, but its on the left. or it could be a ball joint that just went bad.(assuming they did a good job aligning it).

The tire is brand new...Mybe the strut arm,Its like it bouncing down the road...Whats the shock in the spring called....I might need that..??????

maybe even a pitman arm that went bad. my last vehicle they tried to align my tires but they couldn't b/c my p[itman arm allowed too much movement they said. it allowed about a 1/2 inch which made it impossible to align.

inside the spring is the shock,newer cars typically have struts in front.
If you are positive the tire doesn't have a bad belt, I would take it back to who aligned it and have them check their alignment job at their cost of course, cuz if there was anything bad in the front end such as ball joints, pitman arms idler arms etc. they wouldn't be able to align it properly....if at all, and if this problem started after the alignment.........well, sounds to me they missed something. again, I'm assuming the old tires wore evenly until u took it in.

It really sounds like a bad belt in the tire. Many new tires have bad belts. I had the same thing happen several times on mine and it was due to the tires having too low of pressure. This particular type of wear is not from alignment. Make sure you have @45psi in the tires, rotate them, front to back and see how they wear. I have done tire work for years and every time I saw this problem it was either air pressure or bad tire. where did you buy the tires? Les Schwab tires are common for this, and the cheaper brands also. They are very touchy with air pressure.
