MY New Toy

seems everyone else is getting a new toy lately....so i figured why not?

some of you might know the saga that has been my horrible luck with cars...well i'm happy to say that saga has finally come to an end.

ladies and gentlemen of AF, meet Roxanne.

she's a 1988 Mazda RX-7 FC3S TII...yes that's right, she's turbo. :iceslolan

got her for a steal, and i couldn't be happier! only 187,XXXkm on the chassis and less than 25k on the rebuilt engine. has a few goodies, such as front and rear strut bars, cat-back exhaust, intake, short shifter. doesn't need much either, some new diff oil and new brakes and she should be good to go! i've only had her for a day now and already i cannot stop driving her...i find i make excuses to go out just so i can drive! took me a while to get back into the flow of driving standard again, since it had been a year or so since i'd had a standard car, but i'm slowly getting back into the saddle.

well that's all i'll say for now, i'll let the rest of the pics do the talking. i'm happier than a pig in shit!!

NOTE: these pictures were all taken about 10 minutes BEFORE i put all the side trim pieces back on. lol. shoulda taken the pics after but i was anxious sooo yeah. deal with it. haha.

oh yeah and i forgot to mention, if anyone's wondering where the turbo hood is (top-mount intercooler on these cars so the stock turbo hood had a vent for the intercooler), the previous owner sold it. that's one of the first things i'm going to be buying once i get my next paycheque ;) haha.

ah well. get that turbo hood back ASAP, unless you're looking forward to buying a new turbo and motor soon.

*edit* oh, this is a preference thing, but when i owned my rotards, i got into the habit of mixng 2stroke oil with the gasoline, an ounce per gallon for a 1:128 ratio. it helps.

nice rx-7, rotary= teh hotness

now you have two options, just drive it or mod the hell out of it!

buy another 13b and bolt the two together...

i think i'd rather go 20B ;) i still haven't decided what i'll eventually end up with under the hood...either 20B or bridge-ported turbo 13B probably.

anyways,

imtheoneandonlyD - a steal is $3200 Canadian. you're usually hard-pressed to find TII's under $4g around here usually, and they're a bit rare. granted this one does need brakes and some small fix-its here and there but i'm more than willing to put a bit of elbow grease into it.

clawhammer - they are actually alloy wheels, not hubcaps. they're ghastly though, aren't they? i call them table-saw blades. for now i bought some gunmetal spray paint and i'm going to just paint them so they at least look good and are a bit less noticeably ugly...but once i have some cash-flow again i'll be looking into some wheels for sure.

Steel - i've already got a hood lined up, the guy is even nice enough to hold onto it for me until i get some money. what are you driving these days anyways? are you no longer a rotard anymore? :P

I was kidding about the 15hp thing, I knew there had to be a special significance to the sticker. I wish i had a drift team,, or a car that I could drift without the presence of snow....
