96 cavalier lights only work on one side

my girlfriends cavalier is screwed up. the lights only work on the passenger side. well they work on the other side but they run very very dim. i changed the bulbs but nothing. my friend put a multimeter on it to check whats going on. he seen there was no power to thefuse on the driver side lights so he thinks the dim lights are just taking power from the lights that do work. any suggestions. sorry about the grammer.

I had a similiar problem and ended up splicing one side into the other. Whenever this fails I will install a switch and bypass the factory electrical system.

does your car have daytime running lights? if so, you could try a new DRL relay, if not, good luck
