Clutch issue

99 Civic EX, ~50k miles

Just noticed this noise coming from my clutch recently. I haven't driven the car in a couple of weeks because it was in the shop thanks to my insurance company and their policy on stereo replacement. Anyway, so now when I disengage/engage the clutch pedal, I hear a squeak. It happens whether I'm in gear or not, so it doesn't seem to be the throwout bearing. Also worth noting is that I can feel a slightly different feedback from the pedal when it makes this noise. It just happens somewhere in the middle of the pedal's travel. Makes me think something is scraping where it shouldn't be. What are possible diagnoses for this, and should I be concerned?

Thanks

is that clutch cable or hydraulic?

hmm... don't know what to tell ya. Perhaps something sticking in the pedal/plunger linkage? Try lubricating the pedal pivot and the pin that attaches the rod to the pedal, and see if that helps...

crawl down underneath your steering wheel and push the clutch pedal with your hand and see if the sound is coming from there. if it is then figure where it is and lube it up. if it is not, then jack the car up and have someone puch it in and out for you and listen for the sound. figure out where it is coming from, and try to lube that up.

its not th e pedal u weirdo, its the hydrolic actuator beside the transmition, it slide in the tranny where the rubber boot is. Oil that wit some wd40 and you'll be straight

look on ur tranny from the top view under your hood. You see that rubber boot? well to the left of that i believe u can push that into the tranny to the right. Oil that up nice and good, or if ur gettin a new clutch tell em to make sure they grease that, they usually do but sometimes get lazy....
