i replaced original Wires,Coil,Rotor & Cap
for an accel mopar coil,Thunder Bolt cables & Summit cap and rotor Kit
and a pacesetter air intake filter.
But Now Im having problems.
when im driving and about to stop the engine just shuts off
i put neutral and starts perfectly drive again and some times the problem shows and some times it wont
could it be the filter due to oxigen sensors or coil or where should i start
thanks for your reply

Check engine light on yet?
I bet you routed your wires incorrectly.

it's not the firing order he is talking about, even with stock coils, they fire so hot that if the plug wires are not routed right and on the hangers, they will arc between each other and to the motor. When it does this, it robs spark and will cause rough idle and even quitting. You should be be able to get the routing from the service manual. What year is the truck? In 99 they put out a bulliten about this.

what you mean is that cables have an specific order in the hangers
the strange thing is that this only happends in low idle not in high
yesterday i was in a stop light and the motor started shaking and quitted for about 3 times
question this accel mopar coil says 42,000 Vlts. which would be the difference from the original coil ?
what i did last night i removed the high flow air filter & set the original
just in case.(to start from something)
my tuck its a 1997 Ram 1500 4x4 Auto. Trans

my tuck its a 1997 Ram 1500 4x4 Auto. Trans yes, not only the position in the hanger, but the route they are laying to get there and leave there. I am not sure what the voltage is on a stock coil, but I know they had the same problem with them. The thing is even the stock coils are much hotter than the coils from the old point systems, And even the best plug wires arent't insulated well enough to contain the spark totally from skipping across to another wire or a ground.

i went to do a littlebit of off-road to the mountains and had do
drive back home the prob. got worst .
i just installed the high flow air filter scince that was not the prob.
also the original coil hope this solves the problem .

Make sure you battery terminals are clean. These trucks have a safety that will play havoc if you have a bad connection. It may sound crazy But I have see it and fixed it. If you look around this forum you will find others with similar issues. And if it dosn't work at least you will have clean connections.
