hello everyone i am getting ready to buy my parents 1999 grand prix gt 4 door, silver, leather, heads up display, and a moon roof, it has a 3800 v6 and it is a automatic for $3000. it has newer yokohama tires on it and it runs great. cant remember how many miles is on it. i got to buy it because my 89 iroc camaro sucks gas like nothing and i am getting ready to go college and have to drive 35 minutes to get there. that and the fact i going to restore my camaro. now to my question. it has a leak somewhere around the moonroof and i think that the the weatherstripping might have went bad. not sure where exactly it is coming from. but it leaks right above the shifter. has anyone had this problem before? and if so what is wrong? and how much would you think to fix it?

Thanks in advance
Chad.

There are two drain hoses, one at the front passenger side corner, and one at the rear drivers side corner. It is possible one of these hoses has become disconnected, and is allowing water to collect in the moonroof well and drainiing inside the car. Also look for debris that may be blocking the water from getting to the hose that's supposed to drain it away. The GM computer picture is pretty vague, but it appears that the drivers side hose goes to the B-post (between the front and rear doors) and the passenger side hose goes to the a-post (windshield). I own a 99 GT 4-dr with the moonroof, so if you need me to, I can glance at mine and see if there's anything obvious.
