4g64 HEADER PROBS!

So there is some liquidy substance as you can see in the pic ozzing out of my headers as if they are pores...

Anyone know how to fix this or what it is?

Looks like a frickin oil leak from hell down the side of your block. Running down onto your corroded ass headers, and cooking.

ED: Maybe it's just my imagination about what looks like shiny oil running down the side, but that flange is rusted to shit man.

What companies make headers for the 4g64 nON trubo...

Do they leak, or is it just the looks that bother you? Wire brush would take a lot of that off, and then you could paint it with some high temp header paint. Google man, there are probably a dozen companies that make headers for your car.

I dont know how frequently it leaks like this... i just noticed it...

the idling has been fucked up too recently...

its about .5 higher or lower than it should be... When its lower my car almost stalls out...

Yeah turbo, I didn't like the options for the location of an external wastegate, plus I don't believe in welding cast iron. So I cranked up the milling machine and went to work the flange is almost done, just gotta make it pretty. Two inch primaries sound good, and then I got a buddy who has the hook up on the Jet Hot freebie :naughty: I barely have time to finish mine much less do someone elses :p I will take some pics, and maybe do a write up if you guys are interested. It isn't all that hard, and you really don't even need the milling machine to do it.
