Yeah, this light has popped up a lot lately. My mom took it to our friend who is a mechanic and he got it off, is there anyway for me, to turn the light off? I dont think there is/are any major probs with the engine.

If the CEL light is on, there's a problem. Here's a link that will tell you how to pull the codes from your cars computer, which will tell you what's wrong with the car.

My SES light has been off and on and the other day, I pulled this following code:
0409
In response, I was told that one of the O2 sensors is going bad, is this correct?

have u disconected the o2 sensor lately? mine came on when i was cleaning the throttle body and it stayed on for a while, but it will eventually reset itself after the car is started so many time or a certain about of time has gone by, it took like 1-2 weeks for mine to go away. my friends dad works for NAPA going around sellin products to stores and stuff like that and i got him to test it after it went off and he said everything is good. also if u had the sensor off and ran the car for any amount of time it will make it come on too

Actually I haven't touched any of the O2 sensors so I'm assuming that in my case the sensor itself is going bad, esp. after talking to one of my service advisors last week discussing the problem, he said that something intermittent & emission-wise is causing the SES light to trip on and off (ECU assuming there's something wrong, then realizes everything is ok), so I'll prob. head off to the dealer to see what's going on :)
