Had surgery yesterday

At work tuesday i was cutting a piece of glass out of a window and ended up running my hand into a jagged piece of glass. It stabbed into the knuckle of my middle finger, sliced some tendons in half and poked the bone. So they had to operate to connect the tendons back together. So i'm off work for a few weeks, have plenty of drugs, and i'm bored out of my mind. That is all

I have to keep the cast and splint on for three more weeks. :(

OUCH!!!! A college friend of mine got that same kind of treatment when he opened a glass door to a store and the glass broke and cut him up. He had pulled on the handle and the next thing he knew he was all cut up. His hand looked like that.

Ouch, a guy a knew in HS sliced his arm with a knife while cleaning it and had the same kinda stuff happen.

Makes me cringe....

i tore a tendon back in grade 8, hurt more than when i broke my pinky metacarpel (the bone in your hand right befor the finger). it's too bad because i would have had my black belt in jiu-jitsu but i couldn't do anything likethat for months without risking another operation.

hope you get better soon, and i hope you're left handed because it's weird getting used to doing stuff like brushing your teeth with the opposite hand.

so yeah, its been very hard trying to do all of those little things with one hand, my uncordinated hand.

Look on the bright side...you'll be abidextrous (sp?) or damn close to it when your other hand is back to normal.

Holy shit...looks a little painful. Hope it gets better quick for ya. And remember to sell the extra pain killers to the high school kids...they'll pay a lot for those. :icon16:

my favorite part about wearing a cast: you get to hit people as hard as you can, and nothing happens to you
the worst part about wearing a cast: the smell... no, the itch... fuckit, the smell of the pen you're writing with that you used to try and itch your arm but failed miserably.

For the love of God, don't scratch your arm under the cast w/an ink pen. But if you do, take the cap off. That was a major irritation but left a cool lookin spot for about 2 weeks. Hope the drugs are good and that you get lots of pity sex.:evillol:

haha so true, man i went through so many pens the 2 weeks i had my cast on, that smell just never comes out, it took me 4-5 days to wash the smell out of my hand. but yeah make sure you don't leave the cap up there, use the back of the pen. chopticks work well too. good luck on recovery, make sure nobody's a jackass and punches your hand like they did to me.

I was using the back of the pen but I started writing with the pen and forgot I put the cap on it.

I put my hand through a glass window and severed a few nerves, but no tendons... Hope you make a full recovery...
