micro switch location

my 95 buick regal has a broken shifter button and can be operated in any position without depressing it. also since this occured i cannot remove the key from the ignition. where are the micro switches and wires located so the ignition key may be removed ?

All solenoids and switches are normally located with the shifter assembly if you have the center console. When in PARK 12v is sent to a key release solenoid located in the steering column, otherwise the key will stay stuck in the ignition switch.
