Looking at doing the u bend delete and was thinking of deleting the resonator also. What are the pros of losing the RES. and what are the cons of losing the RES. Besides being louder, oh and how much louder is it going to get with out the RES?

Deleting the resonator will make is louder but sometimes depending on the mufflers it gives the car a different tone. Hard to describe. I have a straight through glass pack as my resonator and it sounds good. Sounds like open headers with the mufflers off only deeper. If you have good mufflers that give a deep throaty sound then leave it off with the u-bend. If you have cheap mufflers then put the resonator back on. My 2-cents!

I agree with Lynn. If your GP is your daily commuter then you might consider keeping the resonator on. It gets a little louder but the sound of the exhaust changes and is not a substitute for good aftermarket turbo style mufflers. On long drives the droning effect will drive you up a wall. I have my resonator deleted but I don't drive it every day.
