I would like to get some new headlights since the stock lights are HORRIBLE in inclimate weather.
I have heard Silverstar headlights are good and bad.
What is the consensus on the best replacement lamps?
Thanks in advance.

depends on what you really want. i have had good luck with the silverstars where others have not. i think the key is not touching them with your bare fingers when installing.

My assembly was a b**ch and a half to remove and replace. I ended up having to take it to a freind and we had to remove the turn signal and headlamp sections in order to be able to assemble everything back together.
I wonder if the last owner messed something up if they replaced the bulbs. Because this was not an easy 10 minute job.
Now the Driver side beam is higher than the passenger side beam. I might have to run by a GM dealer to look at it real quick. Because I am obviously not smart enough to figure it out and I don't want to attempt taking it apart again :).
Overal though, I did not get the drastic improvement I had my hopes set for. However, they are very nice headlamps.

ditto...
and i thought you HAD to remove the headlight and turn signal assemblies together to replace the headlight bulbs...just a couple 10mm bolts...it should be a 10 minute job....
anyway, i had good luck with silverstars on my mustangs (had them in one of them for almost 3 years w/ no probs), so i put them in the GP, much better lighting...

I gave up wasted the $14 to have GM fix the aim for me. Saved me the hour of, cussing at pulling the assembly out, adjusting, cussing at reassembly and still illuminating the neighbor's upstairs bedrooms at nighttime. I bet they appreciate that :).
Silverstars are definitely brighter bulbs than the ones I pulled out of there. Oh well, at least the Pontiac dealership washed my car for me at :).
