82 STARION JA engine swaps

Hey guys was just looking at buying a 82 starion with a few mods but my only query was that the engine has done 300+ and even though its been rebuilt my mechanic says that it would only last 20 thousand or so. So ok this is cool I just have to find an engine to swap over with the old engine but the only problem is that I dont know what the engine model is and I also couldnt find any information on engine swaps for this model, so could anyone give me any help on this current delema that I am having. This model has the 2.0l turbo, should I swap for the 2.6? And also im an Australian so getting my hand on an eclipse or a 3000gt engine is a bit of a challenge :) Thanks a heap guys look forward to talking to you more in the future :)

I did not know there was an 82 Starion, I know the 1st year here in the States was the 83 wih the hood that everyone wants. You pay shipping I will send you a engine from a 88 with 50k original miles on it fpr 300plus shipping. or you can contact this guy Paul at [email protected]

Find me a 83 hood, they go for $400 up in good condition.

Are there any other engines I can swap into the car? mabye from a Galant or something? Has anyone else had experience with swaping engines in this car? Thanks
