Engine work

Alright gentlemen, I have a 94 GSR with CAI, header, and exhaust. My brother needs a project engine to work on, and I don't need my car for a couple months. What would be the best things to do to the engine and what are the brand names to look for? I have a couple thousand to spend. I haven't decided if I want forced injection yet.... I want to use this oppurtunity to do as many internal mods as possible. What do you think?

Get some pistons, connecting rods, valve springs, retainers, cams, cam gears, etc...
