I've recently bought a 2006 altima special edition 2.5 the thing is while driving at 40mph a whistle noise comes from the front passanger windshield side. It gets worst while you gain more speed. the only inmediate solution is pumping up my stereos volume to 12 or 13 points. What's wrong with it. Please someone could helpme. I took the car to the dealer because on the test drive car I never heard that whistle noise. but anyways they said that it was some glass seals and that it was normal. When I picked my car and test drove it, it had the same noise at the same speed and bla, bla, bla. I hope there is someone with a possible solution. thank you

I have an 06 with the Spec Ed package, and I haven't heard any whistling sound comming from the front glass.
The only "noise" I hear is just normal road/wind noise...the faster you go, the more there is, but it doesn't bother me until you pass 80mph (which isn't that often).

I would suggest you go to the dealer and drive another 06 altima they have on the lot and see if it does the same thing.
If you hear it on 2-3 more altimas, then iy must be the way they are all made.
If you only hear it on yours, then they need to fix it.

Its probably your windshield wiper, and the air passing over some cavity or something, not much you can do about it... just make sure the wiper blades are attached properly to the wiper arms.

If your experiancing a noise , Ask the dealer to have a Tech drive with you so you can point out the noise to him.. This way you both hear the same noise , he can tell you weather or not it's normal.

There is an upper molding along the windshield that if not secured properly from the factory , may stick up a hair . Enough to give you a whistling noise. There is also a Black Strip that goes form the front of you roof line by the cornner of the windshield to the rear of your car . sometimes i have seen it liffted in the front alittle causing the noise.

Your best to do what i first said before i get you all nuts.. It shouldnt be a big deal. The dealer should want to help you.
