just picked up a 2005 2500 and in the glove box I found a plug that is for electric trailer brakes... I need to install a brake module.. Voyager type and wasn't sure if I could or should try to use it.. the owners manual does not say how to use it, just wondering if anyone else could tell me how to use. In my previoius Jimmy I hard wired one by find the a brake wire up under my dash.. thinking this can make my life easier but do not know where it plugs in etc.

Any new brake controler will work, if you have the pigtail then all that you need is the controler. The controlers have a guide in the box on how to wire them up. I have installed a lot of the Voyager controlers and the instructions are very clear. All you have to do is find a place to mount the controller, cut the wires to length, solder them together, put some wire loom over the wire to make it look neater (if you want), and then plug it in. You will have to set the control up but other than that you are ready to go. Hope this helps.
