Hey fellow DSM crew, I'm up here in Winnipeg. I'm brand new to this forum...last fall I bought a 1990 Talon Tsi, has new turbo and rebuilt head, also a fresh paint job!....looking to do some performance work....seems a little flat through 4500-6000rpm....what do yah think?....I believe its fuel delivery/injectors/fuel pressure as boost comes up, but Im new to all this so tell me what yah think, or if ya have any suggestions!

Anyways....looks like a good forum. Looking forward to any advice/tech info. Its the old 2.0L 5-speed Turbo, AWD, .....where can I gain the most for my buck and stuff? Love to hear what everyone thinks!

P.S. My 05 800cc makes 145hp and weighs under 600lbs, Ski-Doo can take any factory car in a 1/4 mile race!...GO DOO!!!.....So I want to go fast in a hurry!

Please help me make my car faster than my sled!

Welcome. Plenty have enterd the 12 second 1/4 mile club on your factory 14b turbo. I would recomend a rewire of the fuel pump, Dejontool intake setup, 3in turbo back exhaust, boost controler, boost/vac gauge and DSMlink....

That will get you well into the 13's

www.dsmtuners.com (http://www.dsmtuners.com) has a good upgrade path for you to follow too. After what scottsee said, I would go with a FMIC, injectors, bigger fuel pump, and FPR and you should be able to get closer to if not into the 12's. Also, a small shot of nitrous can shave lots of time from your quarter.

Thanks for the info so far....I know the basics when it comes to engines and powertrains (been working on boats and sleds for years, had to rebuild a few 2-strokes) but this injected 4-stroke stuff is new to me....so, what's a DSMlink????:banghead:

I feel pretty stupid for asking but I would like some info....I'm so used to setting up carburetors and rebuilding/modifying boat propellers to get more speed...I'm just not on top of this stuff.

:uhoh:

dsmlink is like tune managment system basically, to maximize your air/fuel ratio to get the best HP for your mixture, it graphs shit for you like your intake temp, if you have any knock, rpms, boost, air/fuel IM sure more people could fill you in about that

www.dsmlink.com (http://www.dsmlink.com)

Its in my (and many others) opinion the best tuning/logging software available to DSMs.
