Check Engine light on just today. Autozone read the code to be P0720. This seems to be the output shaft speed sensor. Can anyone tell me exactly where this sensor is located and maybe a brief overview of what it takes to replace. I would like to do it myself if possible. Thanks

its on the OD dirve section of the transmission dirverside near the transfer case. A 1" deep socket or wrench simply unscrew and reinstall and attach connector. Transmission fluid will come out after removing the sensor so be quick to get the new on back on. The 99 model year was nortious for bad output sensors. Get a new MOPAR sensor.

On my way to get the part from Autozone, the light went off and I havent seen it since. what are the chances that I no longer have the problem? I see no drop in performance or change in my speedometer.
