can i put an 84 crx 5 speed tranny into a 91 civic hatchback and are there any modifications

Why do you want to do this if you don't mind me asking?
I believe that the 84 civics are cvcc which I think is an 1.3 liter motor that isn't really any good. With this logic I would say that the tranny also would be crap. I would shoot for an 88 - 91 civic tranny 1st.
