Is there some secret to getting the front right rotor off. I banged it with my cheep liitle hammer. Do I need something bigger and heavier to hit it with? Or is there some sort of clip keeping this thing on.

its a 93 nissan sentra

spray the inside and back of it with wd-40/pb blaster and let it soak for a min, then go to town with a rubber mallet or a hammer and block of wood, if you are replacing it just beat it with a sledgehammer, it should slide off

hmmm that reminds me of this expedition that came into the shop for a brake job....i used a 16lb sledge and it wouldnt break em off. it actually snapped the rotor surface apart from the rotor hat. lol i ended up having to use a oxyacetylene torch to heat up the rotor until it was red hot. that plus the sledge plus a ton of PB blaster finally got it off.

i use a 3lb mini sledge for all my rotor removal jobs.
